Farm-scale cost-benefit analysis

Towards the end of the project we will assess the practicalities, nutrient use efficiency, and costs and output values of implementing herbal leys and sheep onto arable farms investigated during the project. We will evaluate the environmental and economic benefits of herbal vs grass-clover leys, mowing vs grazing sheep, and direct drilling vs conventional tillage to help inform our final work package – scaling up and policy implications.
